Introduction  Lysipp was one of the most renown sculptors of the Late Classical and Early Hellenistic periods (4th-3rd centuries BC), establishing a new canon for the proportions of the human body. Distinguished on the same level as Praxiteles and Pheidias, he was from Sikyon and worked mainly on bronze. Lysipp has been the official sculptor of the Macedonian court under Alexander the Great. Introduction Spartacus is a 1960 American epic historical drama film directed by Stanley Kubrick, written by Dalton Trumbo, and based on the 1951 novel of the same title by Howard Fast. It is inspired by the life story of Spartacus, the leader of a slave revolt in antiquity, and the events of the Third Servile War. It stars Kirk Douglas in the title role, Laurence Olivier as Roman general and politician Marcus Licinius Crassus, Peter Ustinov, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, as slave trader Lentulus Batiatus, John Gavin as Julius Caesar, Jean Simmons as Varinia, Charles Laughton as Sempronius Gracchus, and Tony Curtis as Antoninus. Douglas, whose company Bryna Productions was producing the film, removed original director Anthony Mann after the first week of shooting. BYZANTINE MUSIC- NOTATION SYSTEM. QUANTITY CHARACTERS

In Byzantine music, there is a specific notation system. The signs are called characters, because each of them actually has its own "character". One is soft, the other is sharp, the other is flat etc. In short, it requires each of us to adjust our voice to the different characters, so i. e. a sharp note sounds differently than a flat. Before looking at the notes in detail, we must say that all of these signs, the so-called characters, are divided into 3 large groups, namely the  quantity ,  quality  and  time / metric characters . Each group has its own basic features, which is the common point of all the individual characters it contains, regardless of the differences between them. I. QUANTITY CHARACTERS  Imagine at first that you are on a scale, with many many steps. Each of these steps represents a note and has a different name; the names are (ascending) Ni Pa Vu Ga Di Ke Zo and are repeated over and over again.
